Jochen’s analysis on who will be the winners from the green industrial revolution (N-TV video in German).
Jochen Wermuth explains that several industry sectors will struggle to survive if not adapting to changes quickly. For example, the price of solar electricity has decreased so much that oil could only compete at a price of less than $4 per barrel. Additionally Jochen explained that countries which are currently net importers of ‘old’ energy sources like oil and gas, can have strategic advantages in the future if they focus on implementing clean and cheap new energy sources like solar electricity.
